Xinhua News Agency broadcasted a news report that "How and Why Li Hongzhi & His Falun Gong Cover the Truthof Discarding a Corpse" on July 19, 2001. At that night, CCTV Topics in Focus also broadcasted a program that "Falun Gong: Brutal and Inhuman to Discard a Corpse to Destroy Evidence". The two media referred to the same thing: Liu Renfang, who was born in October 1948 in Baochun Village, Tangyuan Township, Pixian County, Sichuan Province, died from illness in Yanjiao Town, Sanhe City, Hebei Province when she was "protecting Fa". In order to conceal the fact, the corpse of Liu Renfang was abandoned by Falun Gong members under the directions of Li Hongzhi and Falun Gong headquarters.

This is a true story, because I am the plotter of this case. I also appeared in the scene of Topics in Focus that very year.

I'm Zhao Guifeng, female, born in July 1960 in Changchun City, Jilin Province. In 1978, the second year afterresumption of college entrance examination, I passed into Changchun College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Aftergraduation in 1983, I got a job and became a nursein Worker's Hospital of China First Auto Works (FAW) in Changchun City.

In order to be a good person and cultivate "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance", I began to practice Falun Gong in May 1995 and became the practicing spot assistant of Daishan Park in Changchun. Before practicing Falun Gong, I was awarded the title of "Advanced Worker" for my technical skills and hard work. But after being obsessed with Falun Gong, I didn't treat any patient, no matter how painful they were, because I believed that it was "eliminating Karma" and I was afraid that they would pass on the Karma to me.

The general assistance station of Changchun commended me upon my advancement and loyalty to Falun Gong. Under their organization, I led part of Falun Gong members to attend some besiegement activities, such as the besiegement of Jilin Television Station on December 4, 1998 and the besiegement of Jilin provincial government on July 21 and 22, 1999.

After Falun Gong was banned by the government according to law, I felt so sad and unsatisfied with the government's decision. At the prodding of Li Hongzhi's scriptures and tricked by the fallacies of "getting rid of emotion", Consummation and "Ascension in Broad Daylight", I went to Beijing to "protect the Fa" many times without telling my husband. Every time I went to Beijing, I got to know many Falun Gong backbones, including the head of the assistance station in other provinces. Then they introduced me to Tong Xin, who was in the headquarters of Falun Gong (Tong Xin was her pseudonym, her real name was Ye Hong, the daughter of Falun Gong backbone Ye Hao).

Under the orders of Tong Xin, I went to Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi and Inner Mongolia to "promote the Fa". I got the praise from Falun Gong headquarters for my advancement and magnificent feat. Tong Xin said to me personally that the Master was quite satisfied with my actions of "promoting the Fa", I would reach Consummation soon. Encouraged by the Master, I incited the Falun Gong members to step forward and go to Beijing to assemble and make trouble.

In December 2000, Falun Gong headquarters instructed its members through Minghui net to go to Tian'anmen Square to validate the Fa during the period of 11 p.m. of December 31, 2000 to1 a.m. of January 1, 2001. As an "advanced" Falun Gong member, how could I miss this chance? So I went to Beijing again. But the Tian'anmen Square was closed at night, so our dream of "Ascension in Broad Daylight" didn't come true.

Failing to validate the Fa on New Year's Day, we decided to go to Tian'anmen Square again at Spring Festival. But just on New Year's Eve, the self-burning incident happened there. Then Tong Xin told me: "The Master never thought that would happen; otherwise this would be the end." Although she was in the middle of her talk, I knew at once what she was driving at that it was Master asking us to go out for "validating the Fa".

So on February 10, 2001, I went to Beijing again to attend a "Fa meeting" held in Tongzhou District, Beijing. I relayed the instructions of Tong Xin and encouraged Falun Gong members to step forward for validating the Fa in different ways. Otherwise, they would fall behind and couldn't reach Consummation all the life. My excellent speech especially my relaying of the Master's new instructions were well received. After the meeting, a man told me a secret stealthily, which was really a spiny case.

At the end of last year, a female Falun Gong member went to Tian'anmen Square to "validate the Fa" before New Year's Day. As a result, she died of illness in Yanjiao Town, Hebei Province, with a Falun Dafa badge and a banner. That man also said she got ill when she was at home, but she refused to take any medicine and came to Hebei regardless of the family's opposition. She expected the Master could "eliminate the Karma" for her, but she got worse and died at last. The New Year's Day was coming, everyone thought she had reached Consummation and left her in the room. They went to Tian'anmen Square to "validate the Fa" and were sent back home before arriving at the Square as a result. That female member had been dead for over 40 days. It was hot and airless in the room, so the corpse would decay with an offensive smell easily. The apartment lease would expire soon, if the corpse couldn't be properly disposed of, it would had a bad effect on "Dafa".

I was shocked to hear this, because the self-burning incident in Tian'anmen Square about ten days ago got heated discussion. However, the Minghui Net said the people who burnt themselves were not Falun Gong members, and Falun Gong was framed by the government. Although most Falun Gong members preferred to believe Minghui Net, quite a few members felt confused. In fact, we backbones knew that Minghui Net lied about the self-burning incident. Because some people who attended this "Fa meeting" came from Kaifeng City, Henan Province, they were familiar with Wang Jindong, Hao Huijun and Liu Chunling who involved in this accident. They were Falun Gong members indeed. If someone died for "validating the Fa" and was leaked to the police, the government or the media, the "fame" of Falun Gong would get damaged. So I told the man to block the information, move out the corpse and clean up the room, in case there was any Falun Gong clues left.

But I don't know where to put the corpse. So I called the seven backbones present at the meeting together to talk it over. At first I suggested to send her to a mortuary of a hospital, but they were all against because it needed a death certificate and complicated procedures. The most important was that the person had been dead for so long, how to explain this to the staff of the mortuary? Someone suggested we could bury her someplace, but where? And it was a laborious job to dig a hole, because the earth was hard in winter. As a result, we didn't make a final decision. Then I went to the branch in Beijing for advice, but they also didn't know what to do. In order to solve the problem properly, I decided to ask Falun Gong headquarters for instructions.

It was hard for ordinary Falun Gong members to reach Falun Gong headquarters at that time, so the person who could make contact with the headquarters took pride in this. I was so charismatic at that moment because I could reach Falun Gong headquarters and get instructions directly from the headquarters at any time, not just for my advancement. To avoid telephone tapping, I always contacted with the headquarters through a secret website. After we replied the argot, we communicated through voice chat (we agreed on the next argot as the chat ended). I didn't know how to use a computer, so I asked Bai Ye, who was always together with me, to help me. Bai Ye was a student form Changchun. After he got in touch with the headquarters, I talked with it. But that day Bai Ye wasn't with me.

So I asked Zhou Genzheng (the person who was from Urumchi and in charge of Xinjiang General Station before) to find someone in the headquarters for solutions. But he didn't get in touch with the people in America.

At this point, a person surnamed Zhong offered me two telephone numbers, one of which was the American Falun Gong backbone Zhang Yu's. I had never met this man before, but we had voice chat for several times. After getting through, I asked him directly that if he could see Li Hongzhi, I had important thing to report. When he got ready for telephone recording, I told him the ins and outs of the matter. Finally I said: "Master, if the problem is not properly handled, we would get involved in a criminal case." Soon after, Zhang Yu got the instructions from Li Hongzhi and said："The Master knew about the matter three days ago. He said he couldn't do anything, and do what you think best." At first I felt disappointed, but then I believed it was a test for us. So I said to those present that, "The Master has known about this, we can make decisions for this as long as we 'validate the Fa' wholeheartedly…"

When we were discussing about it, I got a call from America. Before I talked, the person on the phone said: "Whenever we meet with such a spiny case, it is individual behavior." Then he hung up. My head was a little addled at that time and I didn't think much, but now I know the intension of the phone call: You should take responsibility for it if something happened, and don't say that it is related to Falun Gong.

According to the assignment, two Falun Gong members Zheng and Jiang took a taxi to Yanjiao Town and to choose a proper place for burying on the evening of February 11. When arriving at the place where the corpse was kept, they found that the door of the room was locked and the window was closed, they couldn't get in. After knowing this, on the one hand I asked them to contact the neighbors, the security guard of the residential quarter or the owner of the apartment for the key, on the other hand I asked for the people who ever lived in that apartment that if they had the key to the room.

At about 2:00 p.m. on February 12, we got a key from a Falun Gong member, who had ever lived in that room before. The seven of us rushed to Yanjiao Town as soon as possible.

The messy apartment was less than 120 square meters, with curtains drawn. The corpse of Liu had started to smell. Without thinking about this too much, we just wanted to move out the corpse of this "demon", who destroyed "Dafa". After taking off the Falun Dafa badge and banner on the corpse,we wrapped up the corpse, together with the quilt, in a large sheet of plastic cloth, and put it into the trunk of a car.

At that time, none of us cared about who was this woman, how did she die, where did she come from and did her family know her situation? What we cared about more was the Falun Gong books and banners left in the room. So I ordered two people to stay behind and sweep up the apartment to cover up the identity of Falun Gong member and the evidences of discarding corpse.

We drove tens of kilometers on a devious path until arrived at Tongzhou District, Beijing. But we still didn't find the right place where they chose in advance. Being afraid that our car number would be caught on the camera, we dared not to take the main road. We drove the car, then lost the direction. One of us suggested that we could throw it into a river, with which we all agreed. At about 5:00 p.m., we arrived at the north bank of the Liangshui River, Gaogu Village. There was a dam on the left bank of the river, the water was deep and smelt bad, so we rolled the corpse into it. Seeing the corpse flowed away, I felt uneasy. Though we took her as a "demon" destroying "Dafa", discarding the corpse to cover up the crime was still dishonorable. Before we parted, I warned them again and again: "Don't tell anyone else about the disposal of the corpse. The fewer people who know about it, the better."

Back in Tongzhou District, Bai Ye gave me a slip of paper and said it was the requirement from the headquarters conveyed by Tong Xin. She said that the Minghui net was the window of Falun Dafa, that she was the first person in charge of Fa-Rectification acts all over the country, and that there should be back-up backbones. I knew she wanted me to train more backbones and tell her their contact information, so that she could still command the activities in mainland after we were attested, which is very vicious. But at that time, I was pigheaded and thought I was a "high level" Dafa disciple and couldn't be arrested by the police. So I determined to keep on promoting the Fa. I prepared to go home for a visit first and then traveled to the South with some backbones. Before leaving, I got in touch with Zhang Yu who was in America with the help of Zhou Genzheng and told Zhang, "The matter I mentioned last time has been satisfactorily settled. Please let the Master know."

Less than a week after leaving Beijing for Lvshun City of Liaoning Province, I was informed that my rally site in Tongzhou was uncovered by police, all the people who were involved in the case about discarding corpse had been arrested, except me. I guessed they would rat me out, so I contacted Tong Xin and asked her what shall I do. She said after I training the back-up backbones, they could help me go abroad with special measures. But the ubiquitous "Law Body (Fashen)" of Li Hongzhi didn't appear on April 16, 2001 when I was arrested in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. I refused to cooperate during the examination and was unwilling to answer the questions about the case of discarding the corpse.

Ten years later, I write out this matter because I can't bear with the torment of the mind and conscience. I want to make an apology to the decedent Liu Renfang and her family, and I hope all the Falun Gong addicts can learn a lesson from me and get a clear understanding of the evil of Li Hongzhi and Falun Gong, waking up as soon as possible and returning to the society and the family.
